Brega Company: Three tankers with 90 million liters of fuel started unloading in west Libya
On Thursday, August 22, Brega Oil Marketing Company announced that three tankers had arrived at the ports of Misrata, Tripoli, and Al-Zawiya, each carrying 30 million liters of gasoline. The company stated on Facebook that the fuel would be distributed to stations within two days to alleviate congestion caused by previous delays.
Fuel distribution in Tripoli began on Thursday morning, with gasoline being transferred directly from tankers to trucks for delivery to stations throughout the city.
Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah had earlier directed the Ministry of Interior and Brega Oil Marketing Company to require fuel distribution companies to reopen closed stations and operate around the clock to address the fuel shortage. Tripoli and other cities across Libya have been experiencing severe fuel shortages, resulting in long lines at gas stations.
