Morocco Commits to Assist Qatar to Ensure Success of 2022 World Cup

Morocco has expressed readiness to provide Qatar with all human and logistical resources to help the Gulf country organize the 2022 World Cup tournament successfully.

This was voiced at a series of working sessions that a visiting high-level Qatari delegation held this week in Rabat with the minister of the Interior, the Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, and the Director General of national Security & Director general of Territorial Surveillance.

The working sessions were devoted to examining cooperation and sharing of expertise between the two countries in matters of securing major sporting events, the Moroccan Ministry of the Interior said in a statement.

Morocco has expressed its willingness to share with Qatar the experience accumulated by its security services and Royal Gendarmerie, in the security management of major international sporting events, the statement said, affirming the deep ties and strategic relations binding the two brotherly countries and peoples.
