Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency launches Iftar Ramadan operation in Al Judeira

The Rabat-based Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency launched on Saturday, in the village of Al Judeira, located on the outskirts of Al-Quds, the 1446 Iftar Ramadan operation, aimed at supporting needy inhabitants of Al-Quds during the holy month of Ramadan.

This operation, which will continue throughout the blessed month, consists of providing Iftar meals to underprivileged Al-Quds inhabitants affiliated with social and charitable institutions, as well as to displaced families from the Gaza Strip.

The list of beneficiaries was compiled by social workers based on specific criteria, under the supervision of the Agency’s Program and Project Coordination Office in the Holy City.

This solidarity initiative was launched in the presence of the Agency’s Managing Director, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, the President of the Moroccan Association for Support of Reconstruction in Palestine, Mohamed Jamal Bouzidi, as well as several religious and community figures from Al-Quds, and representatives of beneficiary institutions.

“Iftar Ramadan” is part of the Agency’s social aid program during the fasting month. It targets various villages in Al-Quds, social institutions such as orphanages and retirement homes, as well as distribution points covering multiple villages and camps in the Holy City.

Later Saturday evening, the Agency launched in the village of Nabi Samuel, located on the outskirts of Al-Quds, a social aid initiative for vulnerable groups during the holy month of Ramadan, fully funded by the Kingdom of Morocco.

This initiative targets orphans and needy families, as well as individuals affiliated with social and charitable institutions, school guardians, and servants of the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The food aid, delivered directly to beneficiaries’ homes, includes 22 essential food products, along with vital nutritional supplements that families require during Ramadan. The aid is sufficient for the entire month of Ramadan.

Under the 1446 Ramadan program in Al-Quds, the Agency plans to distribute more than 30,000 hot meals, at a rate of 1,000 meals per day.

The meals provided to beneficiaries are prepared at distribution points in full compliance with health standards, under the direct supervision of the Agency’s office in Al-Quds, Coordinator of Programs and Projects at the Agency, Ismail Ramli, told MAP.

Ramli also highlighted that the food aid provided to needy inhabitants of Al-Quds is part of the role played by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency for over a quarter of a century, under the direct supervision of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to improve the socio-economic conditions of Al-Quds residents and support their resilience.

On Thursday, the Agency inaugurated the newly renovated courtyards of Al-Quds University’s campus in Beit Hanina, following development and rehabilitation work at a cost of approximately $395,000.
