King Mohammed VI sends message to President of Senegal Macky Sall.

The royal message was handed to President Macky Sall of Senegal on Wednesday by Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch.

Akhannouch is leading a large Moroccan delegation participating in the Dakar 2 Summit on food sovereignty, which opened Wednesday in Diamniadio, 30 km from Dakar, under the theme “Feeding Africa: food sovereignty and resilience.”

The Moroccan delegation includes Ministers of Equipment and Water, and of Agriculture, CEO of the OCP Group, Mustapha Terrab, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Chakib Alj, and CEO of the Ithmar Capital Fund, Obaid Amrane.

The event, which runs January 25 through 27, brings together delegates of governments, and representatives of the private sector, multilateral organizations, NGOs and academia to address the growing challenge of food security in Africa.
