Morocco has strengthened its leading position in the UK’s growing market for fresh raspberries, according to new analysis of trade data issued by EastFruit news platform.
From July 2025 and June 2026, the UK imported around 18,400 tonnes of raspberries valued at approximately £132.7 Million from Morocco, showed HM Revenue & Customs data.
The North African Kingdom has reinforced its leadership in the United Kingdom’s fresh raspberry trade, achieving growth for the fifth consecutive marketing year.
Over five years, Morocco has transformed from a secondary supplier into the undisputed leader of the UK raspberry market. The latest results confirm that Morocco’s success is not a one off but the outcome of well planned logistics, favourable climatic conditions, and the ability to meet demand precisely when European producers scale back volumes.
According to experts, with the UK berry market continuing to expand and consumers accustomed to year round availability, Morocco is well positioned to shape future trends in this segment.
