Moroccan & Israeli Universities to Strengthen Cooperation in Scientific Research
Ways of enhancing partnership between Moroccan and Israeli universities and research institutions were at the center of talks held Monday in Rabat, between Moroccan minister of higher education & scientific research, Abdellatif Miraoui and Israeli Minister of regional cooperation, Issawi Frej.
The two ministers also discussed cooperation prospects in new technologies, digitalization and artificial intelligence as well as the exchange of doctoral students, expertise and scientific research data.
In a statement to reporters, Miraoui said the rapprochement between Moroccan and Israeli universities will enable the two countries students and higher education establishments to build cooperation bridges for a better shared future.
For his part, Mr. Frej said talks focused on Moroccan-Israeli universities cooperation ties in scientific research, the students’ exchange and a scholarship program.
The Israeli minister conferred the same day in Rabat with Moroccan minister of Youth and Culture Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid on bilateral cooperation in the fields of youth and culture, stressing the need to set up summer courses for young Moroccan and students within the frame of a student exchange program.
