Uber officially returns to Morocco
Uber announced its return to Morocco, marking a major step in the country’s urban mobility landscape.
The global ride-hailing giant, already active in more than 70 countries, confirmed the launch of its services in Casablanca and Marrakech through exclusive partnerships with transport operators.
The move comes as Morocco accelerates its digital transformation and prepares to welcome 26 million tourists by 2030.
Uber’s re-entry into Morocco aligns with national priorities to modernize urban transport and enhance connectivity ahead of major international events.
The company cites its experience during global gatherings, such as the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
Users in Casablanca and Marrakech can book rides via the Uber app, choosing between UberX and UberXL options. The service includes advanced features such as multi-destination trips, scheduled bookings, cashless payments, and 24/7 customer support.
Uber has also confirmed plans to expand to other Moroccan cities in the near future, signaling a long-term commitment to the market.
