Morocco, a football heavyweight- Le Point writes
Thanks to its achievements in global competition, its infrastructure and training programs, Morocco has become a “football heavyweight”, Le Point wrote.
In a detailed article, the famous French publication, cites the most recent achievements of Morocco’s football squads, notably the World Cup semifinal in Qatar and the bronze medal in the Paris Olympics.
This breakthrough was the fruit of a well-crafted strategy that focused on younger generations, Le Point said, highlighting the role of Mohammed VI football academy and its graduates who continue to shine in competitive European championship.
Morocco also succeeded in attracting its bi-nationals to a national team that made a memorable run in the Qatar World Cup.
Besides skills, Morocco invested in football infrastructure with world-class stadiums that helped the country build on its stability and tourism-friendly cities to win the bid to host the African Cup of Nations in 2025 and the World Cup in 2030.
To be co-organized with Spain and Portugal, Morocco is preparing for the World Cup rolling out an impressive investment plan that includes Hassan II stadium.
The stadium was described as a showcase of Morocco’s development by Le Point, citing that the new edifice will have a capacity of 115,000 seats.
