Algeria’s Tebboune caught between inaccurate data and colonial ghosts

Algeria sends tons of LNG to Tunisia

Algeria Saturday dispatched 4,000 tons of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to Tunisia to help it meet the shortage caused by disruptive weather conditions, mainly heavy snow, that have affected major social amenities.

The shipment, destined to house usage, was announced by the Tunisian state-run news agency TAP, which also indicated that the 4,000 tons will be supplied to regions affected by shortage at the time the country is grappling with heavy snow falls.

The shortage also hit three gas canister filling stations, namely in Rades, Gabes and Bizerte.

The Saturday shipment will suffice for 300,000 households and priority will be given to the Northeast parts of the country, authorities said.

Tunisia was to receive additional 4,000 to 5,000 tons of LNG, according to TAP.
