The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, which operates under the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by King Mohammed VI, launched this week the second phase of its 2026 “Warm Winter” campaign at Augusta Victoria Hospital (Al-Mutlaa) in Al-Quds. The campaign is funded by the Moroccan Association for Support of Reconstruction in Palestine.
This second phase involved the distribution of winter clothing to needy patients admitted to Augusta Victoria Hospital and their accompanying family members, the Agency said in a statement.
The donation included winter clothing sets for women, men and children, as well as djellabas, to help ease the hardship faced by beneficiaries, particularly those experiencing difficult circumstances in Al-Quds or facing challenges during their stay at the hospital, the Agency added.
Ibrahim Al Khatib of the hospital’s Community Action Center expressed his satisfaction with the initiative, which reflects the Agency’s attention to the needs of patients and children, as well as its commitment to supporting healthcare facilities in Al-Quds and the people receiving treatment there.
He added that the initiative builds on a series of activities carried out by the Agency at the hospital. About a month ago, the Agency launched an initiative coinciding with the start of the school year and a project to renovate the hospital pharmacy, alongside other activities that helped address the facility’s needs.
Al Khatib also expressed his gratitude to King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, and to the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, in recognition of their role in supporting the residents of Al-Quds and the city’s healthcare institutions.
For his part, Jalal Hamdane, head of the Psychological Support Division at Al-Mutlaa Hospital, said distributing winter clothing to children conveys a message of solidarity and affection, while reinforcing their sense that they have not been forgotten during their treatment.
The initiative goes beyond the simple distribution of clothing, providing children with psychological and moral support by addressing their needs and ensuring they receive care and assistance throughout their treatment, he added.
The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency had previously carried out the first phase of the “Warm Winter” campaign on January 28, 2026, under the slogan “Together, Let Us Bring Warmth and Hope.”
The operation benefited around 120 families across 12 Bedouin communities in the southeastern part of the Al-Quds Governorate. It included reinforcing the roofs of rural homes located in elevated areas exposed to severe weather, as well as distributing blankets, bedding, heaters and winter clothing.
