UN Secretariat has abruptly scrapped a photographic exhibition hostile to Morocco’s territorial integrity, dealing a hard blow to the Algerian military regime, its Polisario armed militias and their supporters.
The exhibition was organized by Namibia with the support of Algeria, Belize, South Africa, Timor-Leste, and Uganda, in one of the corridors of the United Nations in New York.
But the photos were removed by the UN Secretariat just few hours after their display. The event, which exploited the suffering of the Sahrawis held in Tindouf camps, was planned from 27 to 30 October 2026 to coincide with the UN Security Council consultations on the Autonomy plan in the Sahara and the future of MINURSO.
Following the protests of the Moroccan Mission to the UN, the UN Secretariat scrapped the exhibition the same day, refusing the exploitation of the UN headquarters for political goals.
The cancellation of the show has irked several Algerian diplomats, who showed aggressive behaviour towards UN staff and security services, demonstrating that Algeria is the main stakeholder in the Sahara conflict and the real instigator and initiator of the exhibit.
Sensing that the Sahara issue has reached its closing chapter after five decades of misleading propaganda, the delusional Algerian regime finds itself cornered swallowing its own bitter defeat.
