Morocco and France have signed this Thursday in Rabat a Technical Arrangement and a Memorandum on cooperation in the field of defense industry, the National Defense Administration said in a statement.
The deals were signed by Minister in Charge of National Defense Administration, Abdeltif Loudyi, and the French Minister of Armed Forces and Veterans, Catherine Vautrin, who is on a working visit to Morocco as part of the 15th Morocco-France High Level Meeting at a meeting that was attended by Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the South Zone, Mohamed Berrid.
During the meeting, the two officials welcomed the excellent ties of friendship between Morocco and France, and the high level of bilateral military cooperation, which has experienced new momentum since the signing of the Declaration on the Reinforced Exceptional Partnership by King Mohammed VI and the President of France, during the State visit he paid to Morocco in October 2024. They also explored bilateral and regional issues, as well as the means to bolster and diversify cooperation in the military field.
At the close of the meeting, the two officials expressed the mutual ambition and determination to bolster these relations through the implementation of a legal arsenal in the field of defense industry signed today, reflecting the relations of friendship and mutual respect between the two countries.
