President of Zambia Hakainde Hichilema has addressed a message to King Mohammed VI.
The message was handed by Leslie Mbula, Special Envoy of the Zambian President to Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita at a meeting held in Rabat Friday.
In a statement to the press following the meeting, Leslie Mbula praised the excellent relations existing between Morocco and Zambia, as well as the cordial and mutually beneficial ties binding the two countries, based on shared values of peace and solidarity.
He also highlighted the stability, prosperity, and remarkable socio-economic transformations Morocco is undergoing under the visionary Leadership of His Majesty the King.
“Zambia highly commends Morocco’s impressive development trajectory, particularly under the New Development Model and the Industrial Acceleration Plan, which have firmly positioned the Kingdom as a continental leader in the automotive and aeronautics sectors,” Mbula stated.
The special envoy further reiterated his country’s firm commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including digital transformation, youth empowerment, and innovation.
Regarding the Sahara issue, Mbula stated that Zambia reiterates its unwavering support to Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its entire territory, including the Moroccan Sahara.
Touching on sports development, he commended Morocco’s achievements in this area, highlighting the Kingdom’s world-class infrastructure, which further strengthens the Kingdom’s global standing.
Earlier Friday, Nasser Bourita Received President of the Senate of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde Kyenge, who handed him over a message from President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi to King Mohammed VI.
In a statement to the press following the meeting, Lukonde Kyenge highlighted the historic ties between Morocco and the DRC, and praised Morocco’s steadfast support for his country.
He took this opportunity to emphasize the Kingdom’s active role as a key player in Africa, noting that the meeting provided an opportunity to address several issues of mutual interest.
The contents of the messages addressed to the Monarch were not disclosed.
