Morocco Partners with Emirates to Boost Inbound Tourism

Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) has partnered with Emirates Airline Company to boost inbound tourism in the North African Kingdom with campaigns promoting the country as tourist destination across the airline’s vast networks and source markets.

An agreement was inked by ONMT General Director, Adel El Fakir, and Emirates’ chief of Commercial Operations for Africa, Badr Abbas, on the sidelines of the ongoing Arabian Travel Market organized in Dubai May 1-4.

The signatories pledge to enhance cooperation ties, coordinate marketing activities and advertising campaigns to reach a wider audience and spur inbound tourism in Morocco especially in the markets of GCC, West Asia and Indian Ocean, and the Far East.

Morocco is a recognized international popular travel destination. In 2022, 11 million tourists visited the country which recorded a 17% growth in 2023 first quarter.

In May 2022, the Emirates signed a codeshare agreement with Royal Air Maroc offering customers seamless connections and more choices across both airlines’ networks.

Emirates customers can access 17 destinations in Morocco beyond Casablanca, like Agadir, Marrakech, Tangiers and others.
