Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia ink three agreements

Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia signed Thursday three agreements spanning several areas.

Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara made the announcement following a meeting with his visiting Gambian counterpart Adama Barrow. The agreements, Ouattara told the media, touch on air cooperation that will lead to flight connection between the two countries via the national carriers of both countries, energy and a general framework of cooperation between the Parties to strengthen their bilateral relationship for a period of 5 years.

“We will work to strengthen and diversify our relationships, particularly in the private sector,” the Ivorian President said.

“This visit is a strong sign of my commitment as well as that of my government and the entire Gambian population to see this Ivorian-Gambian cooperation strengthened between our populations,” Barrow said on his part.
