Sudan Doctors Network Accuses RSF of Civilian Killings in North Kordofan

The Sudan Doctors Network on Wednesday accused the Rapid Support Forces of killing 12 civilians, including six women, and injuring three others in the Shuraim Mima area, north of Bara in North Kordofan State.

According to the group, the victims were allegedly targeted on suspicion of links to the Sudanese Armed Forces. The incident was described as a “new massacre” and a serious violation of international humanitarian law.

Control of Bara—the region’s second-largest city—has shifted repeatedly between the Army and RSF forces, with the paramilitary group reportedly taking control earlier this week.

The network warned that escalating attacks on civilians in RSF-held areas signal a deepening humanitarian crisis, marked by rising displacement and deteriorating living conditions. It called on the international community to take urgent action to halt the violence, ensure accountability, and establish safe corridors for affected residents.

The RSF has faced repeated allegations of abuses in North Kordofan, including killings, arbitrary detentions, sexual violence, abductions, and forced displacement in recent months.
