Morocco & UK Discuss Military Cooperation, Exchange of Experiences & Joint Exercises
Moroccan-British military cooperation prospects were at the center of separate meetings held Tuesday in Rabat by Vice Admiral Edward Graham Ahlgren with minister in charge of National Defense Administration, Abdeltif Loudyi, and Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone, Lt. General Mohamed Berrid.
Talks between Loudyi and the Royal Navy Vice Admiral focused on regional security issues, defense cooperation, interoperability and the exchange of expertise between the two countries’ armies, said a statement issued by the General Staff of Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces.
On this occasion, Vice Admiral Ahlgren has lauded Morocco’s leadership and key role in fostering regional peace and stability.
The senior UK Royal Navy officer was received the same day by Lt. General Berrid. They discussed ways of strengthening military cooperation ties in training, combined exercises, military intelligence, border surveillance, electronic warfare and cyber defense.
