From Toulouse to Seattle, RAM enhances its partnerships with Airbus, Boeing

The Royal Air Maroc (RAM) CEO Abdelhamid Addou recently visited Boeing’s facilities in Seattle, USA, following an earlier similar meeting with Airbus in Toulouse, France.

These visits, according to the Moroccan website Aeronautique, are part of RAM’s efforts to finalize an order for 188 new aircraft, aligning with Morocco’s tourism strategy for 2023-2026.

RAM delegation members received a warm welcome from Boeing’s executive team, the website said, adding that they visited the Boeing 737 MAX factory to take note of the quality measures and supply chain challenges.

The RAM-Boeing meeting revisited over 70 years of shared history, highlighting the excellence of the relationship between the two sides since the airline’s inception.

RAM recently reaffirmed its confidence in Boeing by ordering two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and ten 737 MAX 8s to meet its short-term needs.

These acquisitions reflect RAM’s ongoing commitment to Boeing products, despite the manufacturer’s recent challenges, the website said, noting that the American multinational corporation has played a crucial role in the development of the aviation sector in Morocco.

It pioneered initiatives such as the creation of Matis Aerospace and Casa Aero, a joint venture with RAM.

In this regard, RAM CEO underscored Boeing’s ongoing commitment to investing in Morocco, recognizing the kingdom as a regional hub of excellence in aerospace.

He also emphasized the potential of Morocco’s significant investments in renewable energy and green hydrogen and invited Boeing to partner with RAM in realizing this ambitious vision.

The visit was meant to strengthen partnership between RAM and Boeing, while also opening up new opportunities for collaboration in sustainable aviation and aerospace development in Morocco, Aeronautique satated.
