President Alassane Ouattara rubber-stamps 32-member Cabinet

Côte d’Ivoire’s President Alassane Ouattara validated Tuesday October 17 a Cabinet of 32 members proposed by new Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé appointed Monday October 16 and tasked to form a new government.
Abdourahmane Cisse, the General Secretary of Ouattara’s office, indicated the lineup includes three State ministers and four newcomers.
The State ministers are Defense Minister Téné Birahima Ouattara, Minister for the Civil Service and Modernization of Administration Anne Désirée Ouloto and Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Food Production Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani.
The newcomers are Asahoré Konan Jacques as Minister of Environment, Sustainable development and Ecological transition, Ibrahim Khalil Konaté as Minister of Digital transition and digitization, Wautabouna Ouattara as Minister Delegate responsible for African integration and Ivoirians abroad and Adjé Silas as Minister Delegate in charge of Sports and Quality of Life.
The first cabinet meeting, Cisse added, will take place today October 18.
President Ouattara dissolved on October 06 the government and appointed the former Governor of Abidjan Autonomous District Beugré Mambé as the country’s new Premier in replacement of Patrick Achi who had been in the position for two years.
