Canadian Company “Steadright Critical Minerals” has announced it secured the approval of the Moroccan authorities for its TitanBeach Titanium project covering an area of roughly 4 km by 4 km (about 16 km²) within a wider 192 km² tenure.
A 2025 exploration identified ilmenite, titanomagnetite, magnetite, leucoxene and rutile-bearing sands with Fe2O₃ grades up to 79.5% and Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) up to 14.9%.
L. Jouak, CEO of NSM Capital SARL, a Company in which Steadright owns 76.5%, said this approval marks a historic milestone for NSM Capital and represents an important step forward for Morocco’s mining sector.
It provides the foundation for the next phase of development of a mineral development project of significant scale and, over the long term, creates substantial opportunities for investment, industrial development and the creation of sustainable value in Morocco.
For his part, Steadright CEO Matt Lewis said this is an extremely significant milestone for both Steadright and NSM Capital SARL, commending Morocco for its support and cooperation.”
Morocco hosts significant deposits of Heavy Mineral Sands (HMS), particularly along the Atlantic coast, an ideal location for mineral extraction.
Titanium is a critical mineral, needed for its strategic importance in multiple industries, including aerospace, defense, and medical applications.
The global demand for titanium dioxide (TiO2) and titanium metal is increasing rapidly due to its unique properties – high strength, lightweight and corrosive resistance.
