King Mohammed VI Receives New Members of Supreme Council of Judicial Power & Constitutional Court

King Mohammed VI, President of the Supreme Council of Judicial Power, received on Thursday at the Rabat Royal Palace, the members appointed by the Monarch to this Council, in accordance with the Constitution’s provisions and the Council’s organic law.

These are Mohamed Abdennabaoui, whom the Sovereign has appointed for a second term as first president of the Court of cassation, and in this capacity, as president delegate of the Supreme Council of Judicial Power, along with Latifa El Harradji and Nadir El Moumni, the two newly appointed members to the Council.

A statement issued by the Royal Office said the King has appointed Farid El Bacha and renewed the appointments for a second term of Mohamed Zouak and Mohamed Ennasser.

The newly appointed members of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power were sworn in before the King.

The same day, the Sovereign received at the Rabat Royal Palace, the members appointed to the Constitutional Court, in accordance with the Constitution’s provisions and the Court’s organic law, particularly provisions regarding the renewal of one-third of its members.

These are Mohamed Amine Benabdellah and Saad Rhzioual Berrada, appointed by the King. Mr. Mohamed Amine Benabdellah has been appointed, President of the Constitutional Court, Ahmadou El Baz, a member elected by the House of Representatives, Abdelhafid Adminou, a member elected by the House of Councillors.

The new members Constitutional Court took the oath of office before the King.
