The media office of head of the Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi has announced plans to establish a specialised Technical committee to inspect and audit contracts within Libya’s oil and electricity sectors.
Acting in his capacity as head of the High Financial Committee, Menfi aims to review spending patterns and contractual obligations to ensure transparency and accountability in the management of these critical industries.
The Committee will coordinate its work with local oversight and auditing bodies while maintaining communication with the United Nations Security Council.
The initiative reflects growing efforts to strengthen financial governance in Libya’s energy sector, which remains central to the country’s economic stability and reconstruction.
