Morocco launches 2025 support program for industrial & tech clusters
Morocco’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce has initiated a new call for industrial and technological cluster projects for 2025, offering government financial backing to selected initiatives as part of the country’s strategy to accelerate industrial and technological development.
The program, which forms part of Morocco’s national effort to support cluster development, is open to both new initiatives and existing clusters. Even previously labeled clusters that have received public funding for more than eight years are eligible to participate in this round.
The initiative aims to foster governance structures that bring together companies, startups, research centers, and training institutions to collaborate on innovative projects capable of generating significant added value across various sectors.
Interested parties can obtain the specifications from the Division of Technological Platforms and Clusters at the Ministry headquarters in Rabat or download them from the official website. Applications must be submitted by July 24, 2025, at 3:00 PM.
This cluster development program builds upon Morocco’s New Investment Charter, which has been instrumental in enhancing industrial projects throughout the country. The charter has driven investments totaling $13.58 billion between May 2023 and November 2024, serving as a key tool for boosting industrial competitiveness.
In 2024, Morocco strengthened its industrial strategy through a partnership agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) aimed at increasing investments in the country and encouraging the growth of Moroccan companies across Africa.
The tech sector has also seen notable progress, with Moroccan startups raising $70 million during the past year according to the “Africa: The Big Deal” report published in January.
Through these initiatives, Morocco continues to position itself as a leader in industrial and technological innovation in Africa, creating an ecosystem that encourages competitiveness and growth while fostering collaboration between private enterprise, research institutions, and government.
