Electronics: French Exxelia opens new manufacturing plant in Morocco

French Exxelia Group, a global leader in electronics, has opened on Thursday a manufacturing plant in the Moroccan city of Mohammedia, near Casablanca, consolidating the country’s industrial ecosystem and competitive edge.

The 10,000 m2 industrial facility, which employs 700 persons, specializes in the manufacturing and assembly of a wide range of electronic components, including ceramic capacitors, electrolytic components, film products, stators, magnetic products, position sensors, and slip rings.

It offers electronic assembly services for external customers seeking winding of transformers and chokes, rotors & stators, wiring, and microwave micro-electronic assembly.

“Morocco is an important country in the development of Exxelia, which has been there for more than 30 years. This new plant confirms the group’s desire to pursue its growth in the Kingdom and to produce highly-reliable parts used in aeronautics and space,” said Laurent Gutt, CEO of Exxelia Morocco.

Its products are used for power electronics, power generation, energy storage, and signal filtering functions in numerous leading industrial areas such as aviation, defense, space, medical, railway, oil & gas, and telecommunications.
