Egypt, Nigeria ink MoU to boost cooperation in communication sector

Egypt and Nigeria have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of communication, information technology and digital economy, the Arab country announced Sunday.

Per the MoU, the two parties will strategically cooperate in the areas of broadband and optical networking, the use of end-user devices, and the development of programs, in addition to improving skills, innovations, and post services.

This agreement will pave the way for further cooperation between the two countries in the communication sector.

The five-year term MoU was signed by Egyptian Minister of Communication and Information Technology Amr Talaat and the Nigerian Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Isa Ali Ibrahim.

During the signing ceremony, the two ministers discussed ways to strengthen collaboration between Egypt and Nigeria at the level of ministries, technical authorities, and organizations.
