World Power-to-X Summit to convene in Marrakech June 22-24

The “World Power-to-X Summit” will be held in Marrakech next June 22 to 24 with focus on innovative strategies in the field of green hydrogen.

The Institute for Research in Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN) has announced the organization of the “World Power-to-X Summit” from June 22 to 24 in Marrakech, with the aim of discussing innovative strategies in the field of green hydrogen.

The summit, organized by the Institute for Research in Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN) in partnership with the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), will be attended by several political decision-makers, industrialists and experts who will moderate panels and high-level sessions on the opportunities offered by green hydrogen and its by-products.

This summit on clean energy features several themes, namely “the economy and investment opportunities: the Power-to-X economy: a starting point for a new EU- AU”; “the international benchmark: which sectors will generate the bulk of the demand? who will constitute the key export markets?”; and “the integration of renewable energies: what challenges for what price?”

Participants will also discuss “market perspectives: is there a market for Power-to-X products? what timetable?”; “Technological challenges: how can hydrogen innovations shape the sustainability of the energy transition?”; and “Power-to-X scale: what are the challenges facing the industrial shift to the Power-to-X value chain?”

“Green Fuels: Decarbonizing Mobility through Hydrogen…Will Hydrogen Revolutionize the Mobility Sector?”; “Building the Hydrogen Oasis”; and “Power Funding and Regulation -to-X” are also on the agenda of this meeting.

The “World Power-to-X Summit” is emerging as a platform for discussion around the new era of clean energy based on green hydrogen, with the sole concern of aggregating efforts and providing concrete answers to the various challenges linked to the development of new energies in the Kingdom.
