Morocco: Platinum Power & Chinese CFHEC ink deal for hydro-power projects across Africa

Platinum Power and Chinese state-run engineering company CFHEC have agreed partner in the financing and construction renewable energy projects across the African continent, reports say.
Both companies during agreement signed in Beijing Wednesday, also to partner for the construction a $300 million hydropower plant in central Morocco, Platinum Power’s chief executive Omar Belmamoun told media.
Platinum Power, renewal energy investor in which U.S. private equity firm Brookstone Partners is minority stakeholder, is building three hydropower projects on the continent; 325-MW project in Morocco, 365-MW plant in Cameroon and 300-MW project in Cote d’Ivoire.
CFHEC (China First Highway Engineering Company) is subsidiary of China Communications construction company (CCCC) already present in the kingdom through Tanger Tech.
