Futsal African Cup 2020: Morocco faces Egypt in the Final

Moroccan futsal team will play against Egypt on Friday in Laayoune (Southern Morocco) the final match of the 2020 Futsal African Cup of Nations.

The Atlas Lions, defending champions, reached the final of the African tournament after beating Angola 4-0.

On this occasion, FIFA congratulated the Moroccans for their performance.
“Congratulations to the Morocco team, which qualified for the World Cup after its 4-0 victory over Angola. See you in Lithuania,” FIFA tweeted.

In the final match, Morocco will face Egypt’s Pharoas, which defeated in the semi-final the Libyans 5-2.

As finalists, Morocco and Egypt will represent the African continent in the 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup to be held in Lithuania from Sept.12 to Oct.4.

They will be joined by a 3rd African team, the winner of the Angola-Libya playoff match, scheduled also for Friday at the Moroccan Saharan city of Laayoune.
