Morocco, Tajikistan Hold First Political Consultations

Morocco and Tajikistan held Wednesday in Dushanbe the first session of political consultations between their ministries of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting, chaired by Moroccan secretary of State to the foreign minister, Mounia Boucetta, and Tajikistani first deputy Foreign Minister, Khosrow Nazeri, discussed various issues of common interest at the bilateral, regional and international levels.

The two sides agreed on the need to promote and diversify bilateral cooperation and voiced willingness to create a joint commission that would explore prospects for enhancing this cooperation. A particular focus was laid on the need to promote economic relations, particularly in vital sectors such as agriculture, water, hydropower, tourism and transport.
