CMA CGM Shipping Company Expands Service in Morocco to Dakhla

The French container transportation and shipping company, CMA CGM, is enhancing its shuttle service in Morocco, offering its clients as of Sept.12 a new stopover in the southern Moroccan port of Dakhla.

The global shipping group said it made the move in order to continue developing business opportunities in Morocco and support Moroccan clients with the best Moroccan ports coverage in the market: Casablanca – Tangiers – Agadir – Dakhla.

The vessels CMA CGM Tanger & CMA CGM Agadir- both Moroccan flag – will ensure a weekly departure. The new Dakhla strategic point will be connected to worldwide maritime networks via Tangiers & Algeciras.

The Moroccan customers of CMA CGM, including fish exporters, will thus benefit from a “fast and competitive” access to global market.

Founded in 1978, CMA CGM group has 445 vessels serving more than 400 ports in the world. In 2016, Compagnie Maritime d’Affrètement (CMA) and Compagnie Générale Maritime (CGM) posted a turnover of more than $ 16 billion.

The shipping company offers its clients various innovative and competitive sea, land and logistics solutions. Present in 160 countries, with a network of 655 agencies, the Group employs 29,000 people worldwide. It ranks fourth behind Maersk Line, MSC and COSCO.
