King Mohammed VI represented at inauguration of re-elected DRC President Félix Tshisekedi
King Mohammed VI was represented at the official inauguration of Félix Tshisekedi, who has been re-elected President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami.
The official inauguration ceremony took place on Saturday in the capital Kinshasa, in the presence of several heads of state or their representatives, foreign delegations, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the DRC, and a number of civilian and military personalities.
On this occasion, the House of Representatives Speaker expressed to the DRC President the warmest congratulations of King Mohammed VI and his sincere wishes for success in the pursuit of his mission to serve the development of his nation and the prosperity of the Congolese people.
The House Speaker also conveyed to the Congolese Head of State the King’s willingness to enhance further the strong cooperation relations between the two countries in all fields, in the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
President Tshisekedi, who has been in power since January 2019, won 73.47% of the vote at the December 20 presidential election, according to the results confirmed by the Constitutional Council.
