Japan’s Yokogawa opens subsidiary in Morocco
Japanese electrical and industrial automation company Yokogawa opened its African subsidiary in Casablanca in a bid to expand in Morocco and the continent.
In Morocco, the company targets industrial clients in the fields of energy and chemical, pharmaceutical, agri-food industries as well as waste and sewage water treatment.
The group generates a turnover of $3.8 billion and employs 18,000 in its 17 plants across the globe.
In March 2019, Yokogawa’s parent company Tokyo InK SC Holdings, said it was planning to open its African office in Morocco.
Japan was the seventh largest foreign investor in Morocco in 2018 with 1.6 billion dollars.
