Ryanair to Open Marrakech-Athens Air Route

Ryanair to Open Marrakech-Athens Air Route

Irish Low cost airline, Ryanair, said it will launch a direct air link between Marrakech and Athens on October 29.

The airline said it will operate two weekly flights between the Moroccan city and the Greek capital. Each flight will last 4 hours and 25 minutes.

The opening of this new air route is part of the airline’s expansion strategy in the region. It aims to build on Marrakech tourist attraction as a regional hub from which it operates flights to key European destinations including Rome, Budapest, London, Brussels, Madrid, Barcelona, Milano, Venezia, Dublin, Paris, Marseille, Eindhoven, Krakow, Porto and Liverpool.

This will be the sole flight linking Morocco directly to Greece after Air Mediterranean suspended its Casablanca-Athens flights.
