A new 500-million-dirham logistics and industrial project is set to be built in Ouled Saleh, south of Casablanca, after the Moroccan government approved the creation of a company to develop and manage it.
The new entity, to be called Société Marocaine des Installations Logistiques de la Région de Casablanca-Settat, will provide space for logistics firms and related businesses, covering land development, construction, and facility operation and management.
The company will be capitalized at 500 million dirhams, with the Moroccan Agency for Logistics Development (AMDL) providing 80% and the Casablanca-Settat region contributing the remaining 20%. The full project is expected to cost around 550 million dirhams, with AMDL providing 400 million dirhams and the region 150 million dirhams, including a 50-million-dirham subsidy.
According to the business plan, the platform is expected to generate roughly 800 million dirhams in revenue between 2025 and 2049, with forecast profits of 55 million dirhams over the same period and an internal rate of return of 7.2%.
The project was first agreed through a partnership signed in July 2024 between national and regional authorities, AMDL and the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM). AMDL’s board approved the creation of the company in July 2025, and the Casablanca-Settat regional council approved its financial contribution in October 2025.
The government’s approval comes amid growing demand for industrial and logistics space in the Casablanca-Settat region. The new platform is expected to attract investment, create jobs, and expand the region’s logistics and industrial capacity.
