Princess Lalla Meryem Receives Al-Quds Children Participating in Summer Camps in Morocco

On the instructions of King Mohammed VI, Princess Lalla Meryem received, on Sunday at the Royal Guest Palace in Rabat, the Al-Quds children participating in the 17th edition of the summer camps organized by Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency.

During the reception, Al-Quds children presented commemorative gifts to Princess Lalla Meryem.
Managing Director of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, for his part, presented to the Princess a commemorative book documenting the 17 previous editions of the summer camps. These editions have been organized since 2008 and have benefited a total of 850 children from different neighborhoods of the Holy City. Through these visits, they have been able to discover different regions of the Kingdom and experience the strength of Moroccans’ active solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, this initiative by Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency reflects the King’s constant and unwavering support for the Holy City and its inhabitants.

This initiative reinforces the actions undertaken by the Agency to support the Holy City of Al-Quds and its inhabitants through numerous projects whose tangible impact is directly felt by Al-Quds inhabitants, particularly women, children, and people facing difficult circumstances.

Entitled “Manarat Assalam” (Lighthouse of Peace), the 17th edition, held from August 12 to 26, benefits, as did previous editions, 50 Al-Quds children (girls and boys) aged 11 to 14, who are accompanied by five supervisors also come from the Holy City.

The program featured the organization of the second session of the Summer School in Skhirat, followed by the official program of this edition, which included educational trips, artistic competitions, and sporting events, as well as cultural visits alongside Moroccan children.
