Marrakech has been ranked among the world’s leading cultural destinations, placing 12th in a global cities index compiled by Time Out based on a survey of more than 24,000 urban residents across 150 cities.
The survey highlights cities with vibrant artistic life, where residents and visitors can engage with museums, galleries, bookshops, live performances and cinema, alongside street art and traditional festivals embedded in local culture.
London, Paris and New York topped the ranking, while Marrakech featured alongside cities such as Taipei and Copenhagen, underscoring its growing international cultural appeal.
Time Out described Marrakech as a “pioneering city” that attracts both Moroccan and international creatives, citing its ability to “absorb, merge and transform global influences through a distinctly local and highly imaginative lens.”
