Morocco, Priority Country for USDA Program in FY 2026

Morocco is among the priority countries for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food for Progress program in FY 2026, aimed at bolstering agricultural productivity and trade.

For FY 2026, Food for Progress anticipates awarding up to $226 million in new cooperative agreements for up to five-year projects ranging from $28 to $35 million each. Priority countries for Food for Progress include Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ecuador, Morocco, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand

The US funding will support Morocco’s agricultural, economic, and infrastructure development, particularly focusing on sustainable farming, technology, and improving value chains to enhance food production.

The United States supports Morocco’s agriculture through the USAID Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) program which seeks to enhance the productivity and income of smallholder farming households, aiding in economic growth and the development of local agricultural associations.

The United States also backs the agricultural sector in Morocco through a combination of trade agreements, technical assistance, and investment programs aimed at promoting economic growth, sustainability, and regional stability.
