Senegal to build 38 state-of-art vocational training Centers nationwide

Senegal will build across the territory 38 modern vocational training Centers to meet urgent demands, Secretary General of the Ministry of Vocational Training, Apprenticeship and Inclusion said Thursday.

“At the moment I am speaking to you, there is an important project of construction of 38 vocational training centers to ensure a complete number of state-of-art vocational training centers in the country,” Mamadou Moustapha Diop said during the inauguration of the new Chairman of the board of directors of National Office of Vocational Training (ONFP).

“There are major projects ahead of us,” he said, adding that they are “urgent projects” that will not give the new Chairman, Mamadou Lamine Massaly, “time to rest.

Diop also revealed that his ministry is working on the establishment of a digital training center, a top priority of his department.

“Vocational training is developing and many initiatives are being implemented,” he added.

The West African country also announced earlier this month plans to build stadiums in 24 provinces.
