First edition of Senegal-Mauritania Economic Forum scheduled in Dakar

The inaugural Senegal-Mauritania Economic Forum is scheduled for September 30 to October 1, 2024, at the Radisson Blu in Dakar. The event will center on the theme, “Economic Integration Amidst Energy Transition: The Role of the Private Sectors in Senegal and Mauritania.”
Amidst a global shift toward energy transition, the Senegal-Mauritania Economic Forum seeks to enhance collaboration between the private sectors of Senegal and Mauritania. The forum will focus on how these two economies can unite to address current energy and economic challenges while fostering sustainable and inclusive growth.
The Forum will cover essential topics including regional economic integration, investment opportunities during the energy transition, the role of the financial sector, and inclusive business models. Additionally, discussions will explore the development of extractive industries, water management, and the opportunities provided by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
