Morocco & DR Congo discuss Africa’s security challenges

The terrorist threats and the security challenges facing the African continent were at the center of talks held Monday in Rabat between Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and presidential advisor for security of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) François Beya.

The two officials also discussed ways of enhancing further bilateral relations, latest regional and international developments as well as several other issues of common interests.

This meeting comes following the message sent last December by King Mohammed VI to President Felix Tshisekedi. The royal message was delivered to the Congolese Head of State by Junior Minister for African Cooperation Mohcine Jazouli.

Talks between Morocco and the DR Congo take place ahead of the African Union summit due on Feb. 6-7 in Addis Ababa.
