Rabat, Amman to Bolster Cooperation in Energy & Mining

Morocco and Jordan are exploring ways of enhancing further their cooperation in the sectors of energy and mining, one of the main pillars of the two countries’ economies.

A at meeting held Monday in Amman between Moroccan Minister of Energy & Mines Aziz Rabbah and Head of Jordan’s Minerals Regulatory Commission Farouq Hiyari, the two sides discussed areas of cooperation to ensure better regulations in the energy and mining sectors.

Talks covered the exchange of expertise in the field of regulation, pricing and standards that should be taken into account in granting licenses to practice various activities in the energy and mining sectors in order to provide energy security and high quality services, respecting the environment.

The two officials agreed to exchange visits between specialists from both countries in order to define frameworks of joint cooperation.
