Moroccan police arrested a 21-year-old Portuguese national in Marrakech on Monday, November 2, under an international arrest warrant issued by French judicial authorities in connection with a suspected drug-related murder.
The operation was carried out using intelligence provided by Morocco’s General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
An Interpol database check confirmed that the suspect was wanted by French authorities on suspicion of murder, membership in a criminal organization, and illegal possession and transportation of firearms.
Investigators believe he participated alongside several accomplices in a killing linked to rival drug trafficking networks in Bordeaux, France, in December 2025.
The suspect, who was residing illegally in Morocco, is subjected to extradition proceedings.
