King Mohammed VI was represented by Minister of Youth, Culture, and Sports Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid at the opening ceremony of the Youth Olympic Games (Dakar 2026 YOG) Held Saturday.

Morocco is participating in the Dakar 2026 YOG with a delegation of 39 athletes competing in 17 sports categories.

The first Olympic event held on the African continent, the fourth edition of the 2026 Dakar Youth Olympic Games, is bringing together some 2,700 young athletes from some 153 countries, competing in 25 sports.

The event kicked off on Oct.31 will run until November 13.
