Smart Grids: Chinese Willfar Sets Up Subsidiary in Morocco to Drive Company’s Expansion Across Africa & Middle East

Willfar Information Technology, a Chinese specialist in smart grids and the Internet of Things (IoT), has set up an industrial subsidiary in Casablanca tasked with driving the company’s expansion in energy, smart water management, and computing power across Africa and the Middle East.

The Moroccan subsidiary joins Willfar’s growing international network, which includes existing branches in markets like Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Indonesia, Vietnam and South Africa.

The Casablanca branch will focus heavily on smart utility metering (electricity, water, gas), energy efficiency management, and communication systems. The move aligns with Morocco’s strategic ambition of serving global markets.

Willfar is a pioneer manufacturer in China. It provides industries with advanced electricity, water, gas and heat metering products as well as meters for power distribution, power quality monitoring equipment, energy data concentrators, relay protection equipment and switchgear products.

The company also produces equipment related to metering automation system, develops various application systems and provides a wide range of services including the process of energy production, distribution, transmission and consumption.
