Ten Moroccan animated TV series have been produced thanks to a one million Euro financial contribution from TV5MONDE, which is supported by the French foreign ministry.
The move, a milestone for the Moroccan audiovisual sector, comes after the North African Kingdom has joined TV5-Monde governance, which includes France, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, Monaco and Quebec.
The Moroccan edutainment TV series focus on young audiences with captivating heroes and inspirational stories from their local historical and cultural heritage.
They have been all produced in French language by two local studios under an agreement sealed with the French TV station. Eight of these animated series will be broadcast soon by youth channel TiVi5MONDE, which is followed each week by 30 million viewers.
Founded in 1984, TV5-Monde is not just an international TV network but a leading French-language soft power instrument, broadcast in more than 400 million homes around the world, available in ten channels and subtitled in twelve languages, not to mention its streaming platform TV5MONDE+.
The channel is now present in more than 200 countries and territories, making it one of the most broadcast TV networks in the world.
