The Atlas Lion Ismail Saibari, who scored Morocco’s first goal during 2026 World Cup Group against Brazil, will join Bayern Munich under €55 million transfer agreement reached between his Dutch PSV Eindhoven club and the German champions.
According to press reports, the 25-year Moroccan attacking midfielder will undergo medical tests in the United States and sign a five-year contract running until 2031.
Saibari has made global headlines by scoring for Morocco in their 1-1 draw against Brazil, the five-time champions, in their opening world Cup match.
The highly versatile, technically gifted, and dynamic player, is known for his quick burst of acceleration, and powerful ball-striking. He is equally comfortable playing as a central midfielder, attacking midfielder, or winger.
According to sport experts, Saibari’s elite playmaking and dribbling fit perfectly the top German club style. Born in Spain to Moroccan parents, Saibari began his youth career in Spain and Belgium, before moving to the Netherlands to join PS Eindhoven in 2020.
The Moroccan international has won this season the Eredivisie Golden Shoe, an award honoring the best player in the Dutch football league.
