Algerian Junta planning to kill Hamas representative by drone strike & blame Israel for the attack

The deceptive Algerian regime is planning a drone attack targeting Youssef Hamdane, representative of Hamas in Algiers and blaming “foreign hands”, especially Israel, for the assassination operation.

According to Sahel Intelligence media platform, which disclosed the plot citing security sources, the use of drone to eliminate Hamas militant will make it easier for the Algerian junta to accuse the Israelis and mobilize the public opinion resorting to its traditional foreign conspiracy theory.

The authoritarian Algerian regime uses repeatedly scare tactic to maintain its grip on power and suppress calls for democracy, freedom of expression, and change.

Algeria is currently rocked by deepening economic crisis, growing social protests, and internal divisions within the opaque military, intelligence and security apparatus.

On the international scene, the Algerian regime has suffered several diplomatic setbacks in the Sahara issue and has strained relations with several Sahel, Arab, European, and Latin America countries.

So, if this targeted killing of Hamas representative is executed with success, it would enable the Chengriha-Tebboune regime to muzzle dissident voices, suppress the Hirak movement, mobilize the public opinion and wither the storm that is gathering force over the country.
