King voices Morocco’s determination to strengthen special ties with Gabon

King Mohammed VI has assured President-elect Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema of Morocco’s readiness to continue its determined work with sisterly Gabon to strengthen the special ties existing between the two countries and expand the scope of bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest.

This came in a message of congratulations King Mohammed VI sent to Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema on his election as president of Gabon.

“I congratulate you for the trust the Gabonese people have placed in you by electing you, since the first round, to the highest office of your country, at the end of the political transition you led,” the King wrote in his message, expressing his best wishes for success “in your high mission serving the prosperity of Gabon and its people.”

Morocco and Gabon offer “a model of fruitful, lasting and solidarity-based South-South and inter-African cooperation,” the Monarch emphasized, adding “our two peoples are united by a rich and deep friendship.”
