Polisario designation terror organization & expulsion from AU, “just a matter of time”
Several UN experts are convinced that it is just a matter of time before the designation of the Algeria-backed Polisario separatist group a terrorist organization, resulting in its expulsion from the African Union.
The Polisario militias are armed, funded, and sheltered by the Algerian junta in Tindouf camps. This terrorist organization and its anti-semitic leaders against Israel are linked to Iranian proxies, Lebanese Hezbollah, Hamas, and brutal Bashar Assad, forming an axis of evil threatening regional stability and international peace.
The support of General Saïd Chengriha and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune for the Polisario builds on an ideology of their predecessors, dating back to the Cold War era which was marked by global geopolitical tensions between the Communist Eastern bloc, led by the Soviet Union and the Capitalist West, defended by the United States.
At the United Nations, despite various stratagems and unsuccessful attempts by Algiers, the Polisario has never been recognized as the representative of the Saharan population in Tindouf camps, located in Southern Algeria. The majority of this population is from Sub-Saharan region and not Sahrawis, who are sequestered in these camps by the Polisario in connivance with the Algerian army.
The Polisario has proven it is a terrorist and criminal organization. Evidence and intelligence reports have confirmed the involvement of the Algeria-backed separatist militias and its leaders in terrorist activities carried out by al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb and the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara. For these reasons, they will stand trial for crimes against humanity.
Besides embezzlement of humanitarian aid, the Polisario militiamen operate in drugs and arms trafficking in collusion with Algerian Generals. They use the proceeds from narcotics and criminal activities to finance their terrorist operation and line up their pockets.
