Egypt, EU to implement €8M program to support industry

The Egyptian Government has secured an €8 million agreement with the European Union (EU) through the EU Tigara program to enhance trade, industry, and market access.

According to the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, the initiative aims to strengthen Egypt’s enterprise growth and trade mechanisms, while boosting the involvement of small and medium-sized Egyptian businesses in industrial value chains.

Spanning 60 months, the agreement will be implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in collaboration with the Ministries of Industry, Investment, Foreign Trade, and the EU.

The agreement is designed to increase the efficiency of Egypt’s private sector, stimulate economic growth, and create quality job opportunities.
